The Joint Committee for KTPR has come up with a concrete mechanism to ensure their future for flourishing relationship & harmony between the Khmer & Thai Peoples

The Joint Committee for Khmer-Thai People Reconciliation has achieved several very important outcomes during its 2-day irregular meeting in Koh Kong late November 2010: 27-28 Meeting Plan 27-28 Nov 010 in order to ensure smooth collaboration between the two teams so that we can contribute to the present and future needs for closer relationship and harmony between the two peoples:

1) We shared each other the current situation and issues of relationship between Cambodia and Thailand;

3) Held a condolence and spreading merit ceremony (Bangsokol) to a great deal number of Khmer people who have been died by the incident at the bridge of Koh Pich in Phnom Penh;

4) Elaborated and detailed the 3-year strategic plan of the people in contributing and intervening for better and closer relationship between the two peoples and nations;

5) Discussed and signed on the common Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Joint Committee for Khmer-Thai People Relationship Building MoU-Joint Committee 4 KTPR. The MoU needs to be reviewed again in order to improve the language due to it was discussed and signed in a time pressure to meet the urgent need. Based on the MoU, we have stopped calling ourselves “Khmer -Thai People Reconciliation”, instead, Khmer-Thai People Relationship Building, but the acronym remained the same as (KTPR).

6) We learned how to rest and natural ways of taking care of our health together with a lot of interests from the participants every early morning and evening of the meeting days.
